The ATM stolen in an early morning ram raid at Cudlee Creek has been located (empty).
At about 6am on Saturday 24 June police were called to a Gorge Road licenced premises after an employee discovered the premises had been broken into and an ATM, containing a small amount of money, stolen.
CCTV revealed the break-in and theft occurred about 4.30am. A white Mazda had been used to ram the front doors and two people were seen stealing ATM.
About 5.30am police were called Angas Creek Road after reports of a white Mazda on fire. MFS quickly extinguished the blaze and by this time police had received a report of the break-in.
Checks revealed the car had been stolen from Brompton in the last week.
Later, about 8.30am a member of the public called police after they located the front of an ATM on Tippett Road Millbrook, the ATM has been seized by police.
Today (Sunday 25 June) about 11am police were called to Checker Hill Road in Kersbrook after the stolen ATM was located. The ATM was damaged and the small amount of money inside was gone.
Crime Scene Investigators attended the scene to gather forensic evidence. The ATM has been returned to the victim.
