The wayward Zipping Remus put his best paw forward at Wentworth Park yesterday winning a 5th Grade 520m event by daylight in 29.45.
On a day when the Wentworth Park greyhound track was displaying a distinct bias toward greyhounds boxed in box one, Zipping Remus exited the red box running almost half a second quicker than any other greyhound on they day.
Eight of the 11 races at the Glebe circuit were won by greyhounds starting from box one, but the performance of Zipping Remus was noteworthy nonetheless.
The John and Minnie Finn-trained greyhound was having his first race start since being charged with marring another greyhound in a Dubbo race on May 13, but made every post a winner, leading throughout to win by 10 lengths.
Zipping Remus was sent out a hot -333.33 favourite with greyhound bookmakers, despite the presence of litter sister Zipping Rousey in the field.

The Martin Hallinan bred and owned greyhound has now had six career starts for three wins, and a third placing in the 2023 Group 3 Magic Maiden final Wentworth Park on Golden Easter Egg night.
Zipping Remus had already posted a very quick near best of night 29.55 win at Wentworth Park 11 days after the Magic Maiden final.
The son of Feral Franky and Zipping Tayla is a litter brother to 2023 Group 3 Magic Maiden runner-up Zipping Elkie, and Magic Maiden fourth place-getter Zipping Rousey.
