Paramount+ has renewed School Spirits for a second season. The series is centered around Maddie, a teen stuck in the afterlife investigating her own mysterious disappearance. Maddie goes on a crime-solving journey as she adjusts to high school purgatory, but the closer she gets to discovering the truth, the more secrets and lies she uncovers.
Dan Stevens has joined the cast of hulu’s Solar Opposites. Stevens will replace Justin Roiland as the voice of Korvo after Roiland was removed from the series. The eleven episode fourth season will premiere on hulu August 14. A Valentine’s Day special will air in 2024. The series previously aired Christmas and Halloween themed episodes. Adult Swim’s Rick and Morty is also in the process of recasting their leads previously played by Roiland.

New episodes of Bluey will premiere on Disney+ July 12. The new episodes include cameos from well-known Bluey fans, including Lin-Manuel Miranda, who appears as a talking horse in the episode “Stories,” and Rose Byrne, who plays Chilli’s sister Brandy in “Onesies.” The series follows the adventures of a lovable and inexhaustible Blue Heeler puppy who lives with her Dad, Mum and little sister, Bingo. It showcases the joyful simplicity that can be found in families, by bringing to life how children learn and grow through play.
Sam Esmail’s Metropolis is no longer going forward at Apple TV+. The series was to be an adaptation of the film of the same name from Fritz Lang. Briana Middleton and Lindy Booth were previously cast in the series.
Prime Video has renewed Prisma for a second season. The Italian series follows the stories of a group of teenagers from Latina, a small town in the Roman province, from where we left them at the end of Season One, with the returning ensemble cast, including Mattia Carrano, Lorenzo Zurzolo, Caterina Forza, Chiara Bordi, LXX Blood, Matteo Scattaretico, Zakaria Hamza, Riccardo Afan de Rivera Costaguti, Flavia del Prete, Asia Patrignani, Elena Falvella Capodaglio, Andrea Giannini, Nico Guerzoni.

The Crunchyroll Anime Awards will return to Tokyo, Japan on March 2, 2024. The live awards ceremony will be hosted again by voice actress Sally Amaki and popular entertainer Jon Kabira.
