And that’s a wrap for this years bi-annual Capricorn Coast Writers Festival (CCWF) which saw 308 attendees from far and wide come together to learn, be mentored and to enjoy.
CCWF member Elaine Ousten said it was lovely and exciting that we had so many people come along, some from quite a distance away, to embrace this year festival.
“While the majority came from the Capricorn Coast and Rockhampton, we had attendees from Gladstone, from inland Central Queensland, Townsville, Toowoomba and Brisbane,” Ms Ousten said.
“It was wonderful to be able to welcome them to our beautiful part of Queensland and help them on their writing journey.”
Author and CCWF member Amy Andrews said the weekend was exhilarating, jam packed with content for readers and writers.
“Stories by the Sea was a real hit. If you missed it this time you can sign up to the festival newsletter via the website so you can be kept up to date with the 2025 details,” Ms Andrews said.
“It will be here before you know it.”
Author and CCWF member Nene Davies said the festival was a fabulous weekend of creativity, learning, inspiration, and fun.
“Stories By The Sea was everything we’d hoped for and more,” she said.
“Huge thanks to our fantastic presenters who so generously shared and encouraged us all every step of the way.
“Many thanks also to our wonderful sponsors and partners, our dedicated volunteers, and our hard-working committee.
“And a special thank you to Livingstone Shire Council, Keppel Coast Arts Council and to everyone who attended.
“We hope you enjoyed the festival as much as we did.”
