A woman has been left with serious injuries after she was hit by a car. The driver reportedly failed to stop after the incident on a pedestrian crossing in Redditch.
The 27-year-old woman was left “lying in the road” following the crash, police have said. She suffered serious head and leg injuries and was taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham for further care.
And following the incident which happened at around 8.35pm on Saturday, June 3, West Mercia Police are appealing to trace a a dark blue Skoda Octavia. It reportedly left the scene near Salters Lane after the woman was knocked down.

A spokesperson for the force said: “Police are looking for a dark blue Skoda Octavia that failed to stop after hitting a woman as she walked across a pedestrian crossing in Redditch.
“The incident happened at approximately 8.35pm yesterday (Sat 3 Jun) and the 27 year old victim was left lying in the road with serious leg and head injuries. She was taken by ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham.”
They continued: “The incident happened in Salters Lane after the vehicle travelled up Hewell Road from the Redditch direction.
“Anyone who saw the incident is asked to contact 101 quoting log number 00540_I_03062023.”
