A major shopping centre in Melbourne’s east has unveiled its multimillion-dollar makeover, including dozens of new stores, an outdoor play space and a basketball court.
Westfield Knox in Wantirna South is undergoing a $355 million upgrade and on Thursday launched the next stage of the development, confirming the fashion and lifestyle precinct is now open.

There are 20 new and returning retailers now open at the centre, including Gorman, All About Eve, Dangerfield, Forever New, Decjuba, Rebel, Macpac, ASICS, Kathmandu, Lorna Jane and JB Hi-Fi.
A KX Pilates and Terry White Chemist has also opened at Knox Westfield.
The food court is also getting a revamp with Mad Mex, KFC, Subway, Moon & Spoon and Sugar Buns brought in.
More retailers, including large international brands, are soon to be announced.
On Thursday, the centre also announced its full-sized FIBA-grade basketball court was open alongside a new nature-inspired kids’ play space.
“We’re delighted to celebrate with our community as we unveil the new fashion and lifestyle precinct, which from today will see over 20 new stores, including brands like Gorman and Dangerfield, arrive at Westfield Knox for the very first time,” Westfield Knox centre manager Kristian Nicholls said.
“The opening of these new stores gives our customers a taste of the reimagined Westfield Knox and is just the beginning of the retail evolution we will see come to life across the rest of the year.”
By the end of 2023, Westfield Knox will complete a 2000sqm public library and a 25m pool offering swimming lessons for children up to 12 years of age.
Once complete, Westfield Knox will span approximately 144,810sqm and feature approximately 350 stores.
