The splendour, beauty and the wide range of things to do in North Mayo were broadcast to over half a million people last week as a popular Irish lifestyle influencer shared their stay in the area to her legions of Instagram followers.
Model and influencer Rozanna Purcell, who boasts a following of 548,000 followers on the social media app, was in the North Mayo area last week and shared her solo adventures across a three-day stay to her massive audience.
She also has a following of 131,000 on a page called @thehikelife.
Here, the former Miss Universe Ireland enjoyed the north of the county’s beaches, hiking spots, interesting places to visit and great food options.
Roz’s first stop was at the Foxford Woollen Mills en route to Ballina where she learned about the history of the Mills and highlighted its café.
She then travelled to Belleek Castle and visited the unique collection of artifacts in the Marshall Doran collection, a ‘mini-museum’ under the Castle. She then visited the café at the castle before checking “into heaven” at the Ice House Hotel. On Day 2, she visited Jimmy’s Drive Through Coffee in Ballina before heading off for Downpatrick Head and the Ceide Fields. She stopped at June’s Café in Ballycastle, which she described as “one of the best cafes in the west of Ireland.”
7Roz then went hiking around Portacloy to bring her second day to a close.
Her third day in the area was spent around Belmullet as she travelled the area with Broadhaven Tours and learned about the history of the area.
She visited Blacksod Lighthouse, Dán na mBó and enjoyed a sunset dip at the Belmullet Tidal Pool.
She also paid a visit to Boho Barista for a quick coffee stop in Ballina.
Her visit generated a lot of excitement in the locality and local businesses will now be hoping for an influx of visitors off the back of the online buzz generated by Roz.
