Cr Heather Marcus, the holder of Wyndham City’s Destination Wyndham portfolio, enthusiastically encourages all residents of Wyndham to cast their votes in support of Werribee.
This is an excellent opportunity for our exceptional visitor experiences and tourist attractions to gain well-deserved recognition. The public voting phase, which accounts for 25% of each town’s total score, is now open, and the Wyndham community is urged to rally behind Werribee.
Organized by the Victoria Tourism Industry Council (VTIC), these awards celebrate towns that excel in providing remarkable visitor experiences while actively promoting tourism growth in their region.
Among the finalists competing for the prestigious Top Tourism Town title in the category for towns with a population over 5,000 are Ballarat, Bendigo, Echuca, Frankston, Lakes Entrance, Mildura, Warrnambool, and Werribee.
Cr Marcus further expressed that the Top Tourism Town Award plays a crucial role in raising awareness and support for Wyndham’s visitor economy, ultimately elevating the profile of Werribee as a preferred tourism destination.
The winners will advance to the national awards, vying for the title of Australia’s Top Tourism Town. Voting is open until 5 pm on June 22. Cast your vote now at www.vtic.com.au/toptourismtown.
