NORTH HAVERHILL — A former Dartmouth College football player accused of robbery in Colorado Springs was extradited to Colorado earlier this week and is now free on bail, according to court records. Ahmir Braxton, 19, had been held from Grafton County jail on a fugitive from justice warrant since his arrest by Lebanon Police last month.
Braxton posted a $150,000 bail bond on Thursday and was released from El Paso County jail in Colorado, according to El Paso County court records. Braxton, a former member of the Dartmouth College football team, has been charged on four felony counts alleging his involvement in a Feb. 24 armed robbery of $150,000 during an ATM cash transfer at a Colorado Springs bank.
Law enforcement authorities came to transport Braxton back to Colorado from Grafton County jail in North Haverhill on Monday, a Department of Corrections official confirmed.Braxton is scheduled to make his first court appearance in El Paso County District Court on June 15, according to court records.
A Dartmouth College spokesperson said on Thursday that Braxton, who was taken into custody at Dartmouth student housing by Lebanon Police on May 19, is “no longer enrolled” at Dartmouth.
