Police have arrested a third teenager following investigations into the assault and robbery of three teenage boys at Palm Beach on Saturday night.
Around 7pm (June 10), a number of teenagers attended a gathering on the beach in the vicinity of the ‘Pirate Park’.
It will be alleged that, a group of males approached the gathering and, during separate incidents, assaulted three boys before fleeing on foot.
In the first instance around 9:15pm, it will be alleged that a 15-year-old Elanora boy was punched in the nose and sustained a broken left leg and a 15-year-old Burleigh Heads boy sustained facial injuries.
Both boys had their ‘Nike’ shoes allegedly stolen and were transported to Gold Coast University Hospital for treatment.
Approximately an hour later around 10:15pm, it will be alleged that a third 15-year-old boy sustained bruising and abrasions before his ‘Nike’ shoes were stolen.
He was treated on-scene by paramedics.
Following investigations, a 15-year-old Worongary boy was arrested on Monday (June 12) after he voluntarily attended the Surfers Paradise police complex.
On Tuesday evening (June 13), a 13-year-old Mudgeeraba boy was arrested in Surfers Paradise.
Both have been dealt with under provisions of the Youth Justices Act.
Around 2pm yesterday afternoon (Wednesday June 14), a 17-year-old Southport boy was arrested in Surfers Paradise.
He has subsequently been charged with one count each of grievous bodily harm, robbery in company and stealing.
He is scheduled to appear at the Southport Childrens Court at a later date.
Police continue to appeal to anyone with further information about the incident, or those involved, to come forward immediately.
