BBQ and Barrels, the revitalized version of the barbecue festival, kicks off today and continues tomorrow. Here’s a quick overview of what you need to know — including what’s free vs. paid, food and bourbon vendors, where everything is stationed, parking/street closures, and more.
MAP
This map is a quick look at most everything you need to know and where most things will be located.
FREE vs. PAID
There is no cost to stroll the streets throughout the event. Music is free to enjoy, and there will likely be plenty of free food samples. Food vendors will of course charge for their meals, and the carnival will require tickets for rides and games. The bourbon tasting events on Saturday at the Convention Center are ticketed (more information on those events can be found here).
PARKING
The Daviess Street and Locust Street parking garages will remain open for the entire weekend. Drivers are asked to abide by all posted parking signs.
The following streets will be closed through 7 a.m. on Sunday:
- East 2nd Street from Clay Street to J.R. Miller Boulevard, and from J.R. Miller Boulevard to Daviess Street (The intersection of J.R. Miller./East 2nd will remain open.)
- East 2nd Street from Daviess Street to Walnut Street
