After the general competition bye, Ugle Fabrications La Fiamma will be back on home turf as they prepare to take on Murdoch University Melville this Saturday.
It is now round seven of the division three Amateur Football League, but it will just be the second time the Reds will have the chance to run out on their home pitch.
However, even more important is they actually complete the match after their meeting with Alkimos was waved off before a half could be finished.
It makes for an odd ladder with only four games completed which includes a forfeit making for only three actual competitive matches this season all away from home.
They are coming off a disappointing loss to Spearwood and need a win to make sure their games in hand will still mean something come to the end of the season.
The Reds appear to be in decent touch as they challenged Alkimos in the 40 minutes they did play but in truth it’s hard to get a form line going on such a disjointed season.
The Reds are also effectively playing two different sides this season with their away squad made up of a couple of Perth-based players to help take the pressure of travelling.
While they have performed admirably the home squad has played a total of 40 minutes and this weekend will hopefully provide some much-needed minutes in their legs.
But the Reds are always hard to beat at home and will look to use it as a springboard into the season.
Reds are scheduled to kick off against Murdoch at Salvatore Sciuto Stadium at 6pm.
