Two men have died in separate industrial accidents in one day.

Woodside Australia said the worker was employed by a contractor at the North Rankin Complex operation and died in the incident about 12pm local time on Friday.
The Daily Mail reported the man had fallen from a crane.
Woodside CEO Meg O’Neill said it was “a very sad day for the extended Woodside family” and extended her sympathy to the man’s family, friends and workmates.

“Any loss of life is heartbreaking,” she said in a statement.
“We are taking all steps to understand the circumstances around this tragic event and are cooperating closely with Western Australian Police and the National Offshore Petroleum Safety and Emergency Authority in their ongoing investigations.”

Australia’s oil and gas industry peak body also offered its condolences, describing it as “a shock and a tragedy for our industry”.
“Australia’s oil and gas industry offers its condolences to the family, friends and colleagues of a worker who died today at Woodside Energy’s North Rankin Complex off Western Australia,” APPEA chief executive Samantha McCulloch said.
Senior Woodside executives are travelling to Karratha and counselling and support services are being made available to employees and contractors through our Employee Assistance Program.
It was the second industrial action in WA on Friday.

The 62-year-old contractor fell just before 7am local time on Friday at the site of the Grandton Applecross retirement complex.
“Union organisers and safety officers will be visiting jobs across the city today to meet with workers and encourage everyone on every job site to take pause and think about their own safety and the safety of others,” the CEFMEU said.
The company suspended operations on Friday.
