ALBANY – Three people, including a child, were wounded when an unknown gunman fired into a barber shop in the South End Saturday afternoon, city police said.
The shooting occurred at the Village Barber and Beauty at 221 Second Ave. when the unknown suspect shot rounds into the corner building hitting the two men and a boy who were inside, police said.
One man was shot in the shoulder and was taken to Albany Medical Center Hospital for treatment of serious injuries, police said. A second man was shot in the foot and also is being treated at the hospital for non-life threatening injuries. The child suffered a non-life threatening graze wound to the torso.
No additional details were immediately available. The shooting incident currently is under investigation.
