Morning commuters have been met with traffic chaos after a two car collision caused lane closures on a major road and left three people transported to hospital.
Emergency services were called to the Corner of Ramsey Dr and Reservoir Rd, Kanimbla at 7:15 this morning after a two car crash.
A Queensland Fire and Emergency Services spokeswoman confirmed a crew arrived on the scene at 7:24 where the occupants of the vehicles had exited their vehicles with one car left leaking fluid onto the road.
“Everyone was able to self extricate but the scene was quite chaotic with all the traffic around that time of morning,” the spokeswoman said.
Queensland Ambulance Services were also called to the scene where the occupants of the vehicle were treated for minor injuries.
“There were three patients treated, one adult and two children all with only minor injuries,” a Spokeswoman said.
“All were transported to Cairns hospital in a stable condition as a precaution.”
Police confirmed they attended the scene to assist with traffic control with one lane blocked for around 45 minutes before the scene was cleared at 8:02am.
