Race 1. (12:10) Tarrawanna Maiden (1600m)
#11 – Yamba’s Award @ $3.20
Yamba’s Award has been knocking on the door of a win after posting four consecutive placings.
The three-year-old filly by Shamus Award owns six placings from eight starts overall, so she has always been right around the mark.
Punters get fair odds in what is a tricky maiden affair.
Race 2. (12:45) Balgownie Maiden (1200m)
#5 – Smart Legend @ $3.70
Smart Legend hasn’t shown his best form in two starts to date, but he has every chance of improving.
The Les Bridge-trained three-year-old has raced tough fields to date, and he comes off a trial win at Randwick.
We’re not surprised by the money coming for him.
Race 5. (14:35) Mount Keira Maiden (1400m)
#4 – Glad You Think So @ $8.50
The John Sargent stable has been firing lately and we’re happy to go with the debutante on Tuesday.
He is a son of So You Think, who comes off a trial placing at Hawkesbury, and kicking off over 1400m should help his cause.
$8.50 is a value price from bookmakers.
Race 7. (15:45) Keiraville C1 Handicap (1400m)
#5 – Resistible @ $4.60
Resistible has been hinting at a win this preparation after posting three placings from four starts.
The three-year-old daughter of Snitzel was beaten by only a length at Randwick last time out, which should be an excellent form guide.
After opening at $7, her odds have firmed considerably.

Race 2. (13:30) Brad Masters Plumbing Maiden (2050m)
#6 – Vanbrugh Castle @ $3
Vanbrugh Castle owns seven placings from 10 starts, including at his last four starts.
The son of Vanbrugh is getting close to breaking through following a second placing at Horsham, and although beaten as a $1.55 chance, punters get much better odds now.
He has been heavily backed to win and that’s not surprising.
Race 4. (14:30) Asset Painting Services Maiden (1200m)
#6 – Khalida @ $5.50
Khalida did enough fresh up at Cranbourne when running sixth, so we’re happy to put her on top in our selections.
The three-year-old daughter of Toronado looked good when placing at Stony Creek, followed by a third placing at Pakenham.
Something like those efforts should see her run close.
Race 5. (15:00) RMBL Investments Rising Stars BM64 (1200m)
#5 – McTaggart @ $2.70
McTaggart looks to have a fair amount of class and he won’t stay a one-time winner for very long.
The three-year-old son of Brazen Beau comes off a tough run at The Valley, but this is a solid drop in class to midweek level.
Barrier four is ideal and he should go well.
Race 7. (16:00) Magic Millions BM58 (2050m)
#1 – Aragon @ $5
Aragon looked good when running second at Cranbourne last time out and he’s good enough to go one better.
The six-year-old son of Ocean Park handles the sting out of the ground and getting barrier three adds weight to his chances.
Money has come throughout the day and that’s not surprising.
