TTC riders should plan ahead this weekend as the transit service announced subway closures and diversions that could impact travel.
No subway service on portion of Line 2
The transit agency said there will be no subway service on Saturday and Sunday between Victoria Park and Kennedy stations due to automatic control system upgrades.
Instead, shuttle buses will stop at each station along the route.
The stations will stay open for customers to load their PRESTO cards or connect to surface routes.
Saturday diversions
The 511 Bathurst streetcar will run from Bathurst Station to Queen Street West due to track repairs.
511 buses will run between Queen Street West and Exhibition Loop. The changes will last from Saturday at 5 a.m. to Monday at 4 a.m., the TTC said.
The 75 Shelbourne bus will divert northbound between Front and King streets between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. because of a lane closure.
Sunday diversions
The 29C/329 Dufferin is diverting between 2 a.m. and 4 p.m. to accommodate the Bike for Brain Health, an event raising funds to support people with Alzheimer’s disease and aging issues.
The TTC said customers should expect potential delays on the 91 Woodbine and 95 York Mills during the event.
Closures next week
Subway service on Line 2 between Broadview and Woodbine stations ends nightly at 11 p.m. from Tuesday through Friday due to track work.
Replacement shuttle buses and TTC staff are on hand to direct customers, the agency said.
Chester station will close, but all other stations are open for PRESTO purchases and surface connections.
The automatic entrance and exit at Lipton Avenue will close at Pape Station.
The TTC said Wheel-Trans customers who need service during the closures and diversions should speak to a staff member.
