NSW SES worked to free the 42-year-old bus driver who was trapped inside the vehicle before he was treated by paramedics for leg injuries.
“The man was taken to Westmead Hospital in a stable condition,” police said.
The truck driver and bus passengers were unharmed.
All westbound lanes are closed on Hawkesbury Valley Way, with emergency services on site.
Motorists are urged to “avoid the area, use an alternative route and allow extra time”.
“Motorists could consider using Blacktown Rd, George St and Macquarie St, as an alternative route,” Live Traffic Sydney said.
Windsor bus routes 675A and 675C are diverting away from the road and will use Racecourse and Blacktown Rds instead, according to Transport for NSW.
