RIVALS EYE VERSATILE PREMIERSHIP WINGER
Narrm premiership player James Jordon has emerged as a target for rival clubs with several suitors registering their interest in the versatile wingman, according to AFL.com.au’s Cal Twomey.
Jordon has featured in eight games for the Demons so far this season starting four of those as the starting substitute. Averaging 13.4 disposals, 2.1 tackles and 2.4 inside 50s per game, the 22 -year – old is yet to open contract talks with the Demons.
It is reported that Essendon and Gold Coast are two clubs that are interested in the unrestricted free agent, who despite only being drafted in 2018, qualifies as a free agent after he was delisted in 2020.
The Demons would like to retain Jordon and despite his status as a free agent, clubs view him as more likely to remain at the club rather than leave.

Jordon made his debut in round 1 2021 and played every game that season, including being the unused medical substitute in the Grand Final triumph over the Western Bulldogs.
Jordon was a regular in the Demons side in 2022 before losing his spot for the finals series. He didn’t start 2023 in Narrm’s team but has been in the 23 since forcing his way in back in round 3.
YOUNG SUN ON HORIZON OF RIVALS
AFL.com.au’s Riley Beveridge is reporting that several clubs are keeping tabs on Gold Coast Suns former first round pick Sam Flanders.
According to the report, Flanders is yet to commence contract talks with the Sun after a strong return to the field at the lower level following an MCL injury sustained back in April.
The scintillating return included averaging 33.7 disposals, 9.7 marks and 5.7 clearances from his past three games which have led to interest from Victorian clubs.
The 21 -year – old enjoyed a strong pre-season and started the season in Stuart Dew’s midfield with a strong performance in the opening round defeat to Sydney, recording 19 disposals and 2 goals.
The former Gippsland Power product has played just 34 games at AFL level after the Suns traded up on draft night to recruit the midfielder with pick 11.
OUT OF FAVOUR BLUE ATTRACTING INTEREST
Out of favour and out of contract Carlton midfielder Paddy Dow is attracting rival interest.
The former pick no. 3, famously dubbed ‘Paddy Wow’ and signed to a four-year extension before even playing an AFL game has failed to add to his 63 AFL games this season despite putting up strong numbers weekly in the VFL.

Dow has played eight VFL games this season with an average 31.1 disposals with 15.1 contested possessions, 7.4 clearances and 4.4 tackles including amassing 41 disposals last weekend in the loss to Williamstown.
According to the Herald Sun, It appears likely that Dow will seek a fresh start at a new club next year and is attracting interest from multiple rival suitors, including St Kilda.
Dow has only featured four times at AFL level under Michael Voss’ short tenure at Ikon Park.
The 23 -year- old was put up for trade at the end of last season by the Blues despite still being under contract with no suitors emerging then. Dow was happy to stay at Ikon Park and fight for his spot.
