TOURISM operators and stakeholders got together to meet Limestone Coast Local Government Association (LCLGA) destination development representatives at events in both Mount Gambier / Berrin and Robe.
The events gave tourism operators the chance to connect and discuss regional tourism, along with meeting South Australian Tourism Commission’s (SATC) new chief executive Emma Terry.
LCLGA destination development manager Kate Napper said it was a great way to build connections within the Limestone Coast tourism community.
“Fostering industry connectivity is also an important role that we play and events like these tourism networking sessions are a great way to ignite potential for stronger collaboration and information sharing,” she said.
“We have the opportunity to be a stronger force for tourism when we all work together.”
LCLGA chair Lynette Martin said the events continued to foster the association’s relationship with SATC.
“It was wonderful to have new SATC chief executive Emma Terry in the region and tour the Wulanda Recreation and Convention Centre,” she said.
“The Limestone Coast Local Government’s partnership with the SATC is an important relationship and we look forward to building on this collaborative partnership with Emma Terry and her team into the future.”
