Tottenham Hotspur feel £20 million is a fair price for Brentford shot-stopper David Raya
Tottenham Hotspur feel £20 million is a fair price for David Raya, who plays for Premier League rivals Brentford, according to the Daily Mail.
However, Thomas Frank has made it clear that the Bees value the shot-stopper at around £40 million. Therefore, Spurs have quite a bit of ground to make up in that regard.
But the North London side believe their valuation ticks all boxes. The Spain international is set to enter the final year of his current contract at the West London club in the coming months.
Apart from Tottenham, in the English top flight, Chelsea also have the 27-year-old on their radar. But the goalkeeper prefers a move to the Lilywhites, with our current number one Hugo Lloris contemplating his future.
The French national has been the number one at the North London side for over a decade now. However, as things stand, the 36-year-old has an offer on the table from Saudi club Al-Hilal.
Lloris’ performances have deteriorated over the last few years. This season, the veteran goalkeeper has made a number of glaring errors in between the sticks for Spurs.
Apart from our captain, we have Fraser Forster in our ranks. The English national is the second-choice shot-stopper at Tottenham. However, the 35-year-old is also in the twilight of his career.
Raya has impressed over the last two seasons in the PL at Brentford. The Spaniard put in an inspiring display last weekend as the Bees beat us 3-1 at home. We are now eighth in the table and only have a chance to get into the Europa Conference League.
