BEST BETSBENDIGOR6 No. 13 – Tapo @ $4.40
On a tough day, Tapo looks hard to beat at a nice price. The speedy filly looks the obvious leader on paper, with Kaniva perhaps the only runner capable of holding her out early. She gets in with 55.5kg after Hammond’s claim and has more upside than most of these, coming off a dominant maiden win at Echuca over this trip. That was her first start for 168 days, so there should be further improvement to come second-up in her third prep.
Rose Hammond (58.5kg)
Gwenda Johnstone
3yoF (b) Frosted x Farewell Angelina
WARWICK FARM
R2 No. 3 – Grebeni @ $2.35
Grebeni is a lightly-raced son of Ocean Park whose ‘worst runs’ were still good while his best runs were very good. The Ryan/Alexiou gelding’s only win so far (note the so far) came second-up which he will be again. He was huge/massive first-up at Kembla. Proisir can throw a good horse, never saw that coming I have to concede.
Jason Collett (58.5kg)
Gerald Ryan & Sterling Alexiou
3yoG (ch) Ocean Park x Dubrovnik
IPSWICH
R5 No. 2 – Makedon @ $2
The heavy track and drop back from Saturday will help MAKEDON (2) which is now third-up from a break. He has placed at all three previous outings here and with 3kg claimer Minonette Kennedy can make his own luck.
Minonette Kennedy (59kg)
Gary Duncan
6yoG (b) Real Saga x Absolute Harmony
