Race 2. (12:50) Tab Maiden (1500m)
#2 – Seneschal @ $3.80
Seneschal improved his form to finish second at Newcastle last time out, so he’s the one to beat.
The Chris Waller-trained three-year-old was only a narrow margin behind the winner last start, so he doesn’t need to improve much to win.
Punters get value odds to snap up.
Race 5. (14:40) Eclipse Insurance BM64 (2100m)
#7 – Gorgeous Zara @ $3.20
Gorgeous Zara got off the mark with a win at Newcastle, and that could open the floodgates for the filly.
The daughter of Almanzor also has three placings from five starts, so she has been around the mark throughout her career.
We expect money to come for her on race day.
Race 6. (15:15) Lander Toyota C1 Handicap (1000m)
#3 – Fourth Spargo @ $2.35
Fourth Spargo scored nicely on debut at Wyong by 2.3 lengths before being sent to the paddock.
The three-year-old returned with a trial placing at Canterbury, which should have her in fit order for his resuming run.
She’s not bred to be anything special, but we’re happy to take the short odds available for a talented type.
Race 8. (16:25) Pools & Spas Midway C1 (1600m)
#2 – Acceber @ $5.50
Acceber has yet to win this preparation but we’re keeping the faith with the Kerry Parker-trained gelding.
The three-year-old owns a win and five placings from 13 starts, but he’s much better than a one-win type.
Getting the inside draw with Tim Clark riding could see his form turn around.

Race 1. (17:15) Chris Takes on Dylan Maiden (1200m)
#1 – Capulet @ $2
Capulet turned her form around when finishing second at Warrnambool, having faced tough opposition to kick off her career.
The two-year-old ran at Flemington on debut, so dropping in class helped her last time out, and it won’t take her long to win.
Craig Williams rides and we’re happy to take the even-money price.
Race 3. (18:15) Ash Takes on Cyrus Maiden (1200m)
#5 – Elly Dee @ $2.45
Elly Dee is knocking on the door of a win after posting five placings from as many starts, and she’s worth sticking with.
She looked beaten on the turn last start at Cranbourne, but she battled back close to the line to make it interesting.
Those fighting qualities could be enough to see her win.
Race 5. (19:15) Emma Takes on Kiera C1 (1200m)
#6 – Twin Perfection @ $3.70
Twin Perfection is hoping a pair of second placings will be good enough form to see him winning on Thursday.
The four-year-old son of Nicconi owns a win and three placings from six starts, including a second placing at his only attempt at Pakenham.
Getting 1.5kg off his back helps, so put him in the mix.
Race 6. (19:45) Laiton Takes on Rhys BM64 (1200m)
#5 – Hurricane Thunder @ $2.60
Hurricane Thunder got the job done at skinny odds last start and punters get better odds this time around.
The three-year-old son of Russian Revolution won narrowly to exit maiden grades at Geelong, but he needed to show good fight.
Barrier 11 is a negative but stick with him.
