Hatboro-Horsham’s schools superintendent said the ceremony is being moved to Tuesday night due to expected better weather conditions.
HATBORO / HORSHAM TOWNSHIP, PA —The anticipated inclement weather Monday night is putting a damper on Hatboro-Horsham’s commencement ceremony.
Schools Superintendent Scott T. Eveslage sent an email to parents Monday morning that the commencement ceremony for the Class of 2023 that was scheduled for the evening have been moved to Tuesday night.

“We always hope that our final opportunity to say goodbye to the graduating seniors is a seamless event, one in which the community can come together to enjoy and celebrate,” the superintendent said. “Unfortunately, tonight’s weather forecast is problematic, currently showing a 90 percent chance of ongoing thunderstorms, starting this afternoon and continuing through 10 p.m.”
As a result, the commencement ceremony is postponed until Tuesday, June 13, at 6:30 pm., Eveslage said.
The ceremony will be held in the same location, Steinly Stadium, on the Hatboro-Horsham High School campus on Horsham Road.
The superintendent said that Tuesday night’s forecast should be “beautiful and will represent the ideal conditions” to celebrate the Class of 2023.
The event will continue to be aired live on Comcast and Verizon, should people choose to watch from the comfort of their own homes.
The gates to the stadium will open for guests at 5:15 pm.
