Want to change up the same old but keep it casual? We have you sorted.
Here are three new places that are perfect for a casual drink (and yummy meal) in Canberra—no matter if it’s date night, you’re catching up with friends or you just need a cocktail in a chill location.
Cypher Brewing Co (Gungahlin)
You may have tried a Cypher beer before—with the brewery popping up around town—but have you visited their new bricks and mortar location? Handily placed alongside the Light Rail line (light rail pub crawl, anyone?), Cypher is serving food and beers in a relaxed atmosphere.
Brewed on-site and available on-tap (including a rotating cast of seasonal brews and collaborations) for the non-beer drinkers, they’ll also have some wines—including a non-alcoholic option—cider, and spirits behind the bar.

Yaki Boi (Phillip)
It’s made a name for itself in the city for its weird and wonderful Japanese fusion food, but now Southsiders can rejoice as Yaki Boi throws open its doors at a brand-new location: Westfield Woden.
With a Japanese-inspired cocktail menu (including drinks like a Lychee Blossom Martini and Yuzu Margarita) and an abundant list of sake, whisky and gin, there are plenty of drinks for you to choose from—no matter your mood.

Central Social Club (City)
Family-friendly all-day dining, and a tempting wine list? Sign us up. Central Social Club is the newest place to go if you’re looking for a meal that pushes the boundaries and a drinks list to match.
Think signature and classic cocktails, a very extensive wine menu and a fantastic range of local and craft beers. Cheers to that!
