Theresa B. (Dalbec) Aldrich, 91, of Uxbridge passed away Sat. May 13, 2023 in Adviniacare, Northbridge. She was the wife and high school sweetheart of the late Leander J. Aldrich with whom she spent a happy 63 years together before his passing in 2015.
Mrs. Aldrich had worked at the Uxbridge Worsted Mill as a mender for many years. Later, she was employed with TBC as a school bus driver for 15 years.
She was born May 9, 1932 in Whitinsville, the daughter of the late Joseph T. Dalbec and Beatrice (Gaucher) Bruneau and was a lifelong resident of Uxbridge.
Theresa enjoyed traveling across the country and reading. She was also a member of the Daughters of Isabella at St. Mary’s Church in Uxbridge.
She is survived by her children, Dennis and his wife Lucille Aldrich of Uxbridge, Suzan and her husband Jim Andrews of Colorado Springs, CO, Karen and her husband Tim Angell of Rock Hill, SC and Steven and his wife Katherine Aldrich of Uxbridge; six grandchildren, Gabriel, Michael, Jason, Alexander, Lucas and Haley; five great-grandchildren, Gavin, Sage, Aerith, Mason and Draven and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Alice and brother Noel.
Visiting hours will be held Sunday May 21, 2023 from 4 – 6 PM in the BUMA FUNERAL HOME, 101 N. Main St., Rte. 122, Uxbridge.
Funeral services will be Monday May 22, 2023 at 9 AM from the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in St. Mary’s Church, 77 Mendon St., Uxbridge.
Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Granite St., Uxbridge.
