From a home studio in Co Wicklow, Kitty Moss creates exquisitely detailed, hand-painted love stories for couples who want to “stand out from the crowds of cream and calligraphy” during wedding season. Moss gets to know the couples she works with, drawing out their tales, before taking out her paints to create bespoke artwork that encapsulates their personalities. Expect a lead time of four to six weeks — and wedding invites and save-the-dates that you’ll treasure forever. tilldawndear.net

Ireland has no shortage of talented milliners creating special-occasion headwear. But sometimes it’s nice to have a special hat for everyday wear, too. Enter FAO Millinery, which offers both chic boaters and headbands for big events, alongside straw, felt and panama hats for the days when you want to elevate a casual outfit. The brand, owned by milliner Freya Oatway, just released its summer collection. We love the beach-ready ‘Lotta’ black pedal straw bucket hat (€230), with detachable beaded chain, and the romantic ‘Amelie’ straw boater (€335), which is perfect for summer soirées. faomillinery.com

After 35 years working in the hospitality industry, Leo Molloy took a leap of faith and turned his passion for vintage typewriters into a career. “I got a gift of a vintage typewriter in 1991,” says Molloy, “and it sparked a life-long obsession.” His business, Vintage Typewriters Ireland, specialises in repair, restoration and sales, with a constantly changing selection of manual typewriters available to buy. These beauties come completely restored, in full working condition, with new ribbon installed. All you have to do is add paper and start typing. vintagetypewriters.ie

The early through to the mid-20th century is often called the golden age of portrait photography. And for the curators at the Irish Museum of Modern Art, it’s a period worthy of being celebrated. Opening on May 26, Influence and Identity comprises 83 artworks by master portraitists such as Antony Armstrong-Jones, Richard Avedon, Yousuf Karsh and Gisèle Freund, as well as renowned photographers Berenice Abbott, Imogen Cunningham, Garry Winogrand and Brassaï. The exhibition has been loaned through the Bank of America Art in Our Communities programme and runs until October 8, with free admission. imma.ie
