10:58 a.m. — Officer was flagged down by an individual regarding a crack pipe he found on the ground near the intersection of Avenue A and Third Street. Paraphernalia to be disposed of.
12:20 p.m. — Ryan Rathburn, 36, of Third Street in Turners Falls, was arrested on two warrants.
2:44 p.m. — Alaisiah Russell, 27, of Fourth Street in Turners Falls, was arrested on Avenue A on a warrant following the report of a fight or other disturbance.
11:19 p.m. — Caller on 15th Street reports a vehicle has been idling near her lilac bushes for the past 45 minutes. Officer spoke with the vehicle’s driver. Driver said he was calming down following a verbal argument with his wife. Moved along without issue.
9:23 p.m. — A Power Street traffic stop resulted in the arrest of Jose Sanchez, 34, of G Street in Turners Falls, on a charge of trafficking in cocaine, more than 18 grams and less than 36 grams.
1:08 p.m. — Caller on Montague Avenue reports her neighbor across the street has too many unregistered vehicles on their property. Officer reached the owner by phone. Owner claims he has only one unregistered vehicle on the property.
5:09 p.m. — Caller on Second Street reports she had items stolen from her house in the last couple of days including a tablet, Chromebook and money order.
6:44 p.m. — Walk-in reports his motorcycle was stolen the night before on Randall Road. He had an AirTag on it and the location of the bike showed it was in Springfield. Springfield Police were contacted and the motorcycle was entered into the National Crime Information Center (NCIC).
3:41 p.m. — Caller on Turners Falls Road states she heard a loud thud and saw a puff of smoke, after which she noticed her mailbox had been hit and was in the middle of the road. Vehicle she believed to be involved was last seen heading toward Turnpike Road. Unable to locate.
12:50 p.m. — Caller reports her business, Swanson Fabrics on Avenue A, was broken into overnight. Offender is believed to have entered through an unlocked window on the north side of the building. Caller is missing $30 in cash and a laptop computer.
7:23 a.m. — Caller at Unity Park on First Street reports there is a loose German shepard walking around the park. Dog was picked up by the owner’s son.
3:56 p.m. — Caller at Pipione’s Sport Shop on Avenue A reports a fire in the garden bed in front of the shop. Call was transferred to Shelburne Control.
2:09 a.m. — Security alarm activated at the Great Falls Discovery Center on Avenue A near the rear exhibit. Officer advised all the doors were secure and there were no signs of forced entry.
12:14 p.m. — Officer observed a fox in the area of Davis Street all morning. Fox seemed to be following them around, not leaving. Animal control officer was advised.
12:52 p.m. — Caller on North Taylor Hill Road reports someone was trying to get into her house by knocking on the door and screaming for her to let them in. Gone on arrival.
6:46 p.m. — Caller on Turnpike Road states he found a white dog with tan spots and a Franklin County Sheriff’s Office tag on the collar. Officer to pick up the dog.
2:44 p.m. — Report of a small brown dog, with a harness, running loose at Unity Park on First Street. Dog gone on arrival.
10:27 a.m. — Caller at the Great Falls Discovery Center on Avenue A said a male party in a white Ford pick-up truck with a Massachusetts logo on the doors was taking pictures in the area of his daughter. Caller confronted the driver, who stated he was just taking pictures of the building.
8:59 p.m. — Caller at New England Extrusion on Industrial Boulevard reports there is a gold truck driving up and down the road. Vehicle stopped and the driver stared at their barbecue area for more than five minutes. When they attempted to confront the driver, the vehicle sped away. Unable to locate.
8:05 p.m. — Caller on Bridge Street states there is a late model orange Chevrolet Camaro driving around town going 70 to 80 mph. Caller is concerned the driver will hit someone.
11:14 a.m. — Caller on Canal Street reports she received a scam call this morning stating her power was going to be shut off by Eversource. Caller didn’t receive any written formal notices.
10:54 p.m. — Caller on Third Street reports there is a male party actively breaking into a car across the street from her house. Suspect went up the hill between Third and Fourth streets.
11:21 p.m. — Caller on Bridge Street reports his cat is stuck in his wall.
8:46 a.m. — Caller on Third Street states his garage was broken into last night and items were stolen. A stolen bicycle had an AirTag on it, which located the bike in the area of the bike path near the Power Street bridge. An electric bicycle was also stolen, but did not have a tracking device. Both bikes were recovered in the area of G Street.
1:39 p.m. — Caller reports a woman shoplifted Svedka vodka from Connecticut River Liquors. Reporting party has the theft on video, would email an officer the footage. Reporting party later called back to advise the suspect was seen walking near the Shea Theater Arts Center on Avenue A. Officer advised.
1:09 p.m. — Caller from the Nouria gas station on Third Street requests an ambulance for a customer who was kicked in the eye. Police reported the customer matched the description of a male party who was breaking into vehicles. Male said he was kicked in the face by someone who accused him of breaking into vehicles.
7:47 p.m. — Caller from Marshall Street reports he had a road rage incident with people in a vehicle who made gun gestures at him through the window. Vehicle was parked at Sheffield Elementary School at the time of the call. Vehicle was gone on arrival.
12:51 p.m. — Police came upon a two-vehicle crash at Avenue A and Second Street. Airbags were deployed and fluids leaked onto the road. Both vehicles were towed. No injuries were reported.
9:28 a.m. — Caller from the former Hubie’s Tavern on Avenue A reports a small window on the front door was broken.
10:03 p.m. — Two callers from L Street report a suspicious elderly male in the area. One caller said he knocked on her back door and started accusing her of making his wife sick, while the other said he was sleeping alongside her house while standing up. Police requested an ambulance for evaluation and notified the male’s wife about the situation.
2:56 a.m. — Multiple callers advising an orange Chevrolet Camaro or Dodge Charger with black racing stripes is driving loudly and doing burnouts through Montague. Unable to locate the vehicle.
9:04 a.m. — Caller from Lake Pleasant Road states she was getting ready to walk into the Montague Plains and there was someone in a Toyota Tacoma that stopped, waved, parked and wouldn’t move. Caller felt uncomfortable.
5:25 p.m. — Caller from the Franklin County Regional Housing Authority reports a male party is parking in their lot and requests assistance in asking him to leave. Police advised the individual to leave and directed him to public parking lots.
8:43 p.m. — Police arrested Ryan Rathburn, 36, of Third Street in Turners Falls, at the Nouria gas station on a warrant.
10:15 p.m. — Alarm activation at 253 Farmacy on Millers Falls Road. An employee of Hillside Plastics states two people pulled up to their building, tried pulling on the door and left.
6:23 p.m. — Police arrested Juan Vazquez, 47, of Avenue A in Turners Falls, on a warrant.
8:53 p.m. — Caller from L Street reports a late model Chevrolet pick-up truck with two American flags on the back is speeding excessively while traveling south.
7:56 p.m. — Caller from Millers Falls Road reports seeing two boys, who appear to be teenagers, on her property at night, adding that there was some damage done to her front door.
1:22 p.m. — Caller from Third Street states her phone was hacked and her banking information was compromised. Bank told her to contact police.
9:59 a.m. — Rebecca Donais, 33, of Central Street in Turners Falls, was arrested on L Street on a warrant.
2:00 p.m. — Caller near the park on Seventh Street reports a male is drinking alcohol and urinating on the rock wall. Gone on arrival.
10:37 a.m. — Caller from Vladish Avenue states a bear comes at night, takes things off her deck and smashes them. Animal control notified.
8:10 a.m. — Caller from Pioneer Valley Redevelopers on L Street reports a male party is trying to break into her apartment. Police advised the man was looking for his dog.
12:54 p.m. — Caller from Millers Falls Road was advised by the Department of Children and Families to let police know about two strange incidents of people parking outside of the residence and a separate incident of someone blowing a horn while driving slowly by. Caller was advised to call back if they observe suspicious activity again.
7:12 p.m. — Caller from Montague Town Hall reports his wallet and sunglasses were stolen from his vehicle. Wallet had an AirTag, but he could no longer track it.
