A new music and food festival is being held at Tamworth’s North Warwickshire Recreational Ground next weekend. Tamworth Music and Food Festival will take place on Saturday, June 24 and will feature tribute act performances, local musicians and street food.
The inaugural festival will start at midday, running until 10pm and is suitable for families. Among the musicians taking part are Oasis tribute Oasis Maybe, Beatles tribute The Cavernite and a Tribute to Amy Winehouse.
Local blue soul artist Thomas Atlas and Birmingham band The Nu will share the stage. West Midlands street food vendors confirmed to be attending include burger bar Roly Poly Eats, Cheesy Pig pulled pork and Boxx n Bar, an award-winning vegan vendor.

As well as food, drinks will be provided by Thirsty Nomad, who will serve craft ales and beers as well as specialist gins, cocktails and soft drinks.
Kids entertainment comes in the form of three bouncy castles, a magician, a facepainting station and inflatable zorbs. It’s been arranged by street food promoter Eat Street Repeat and music event organiser Flashback Presents.
Craig Markham of music event organiser Flashback Presents said that he and Andy Dyer of street food promoter Eat Street Repeat have teamed up to create an event that they hope will ‘bring the Tamworth community together’.
He said: “We’re really excited to be hosting this new, family-friendly event that will bring the Tamworth community – and those from further afield – together to make lasting summer memories.
“We are both experienced regulars on the West Midlands events scene and had discussed collaborating in the past to combine live music with great food, and to do this on our own doorstep was too good an opportunity to miss.
“Combining our skillsets and experience has allowed us to create a unique but affordable food and music festival, featuring great local talents from both the street food and music industry.
“We’re expecting around 1,500 people on the day and this is a ticketed event, so we are encouraging those who are wanting to attend to book their tickets online in advance to secure their spot.”
Tickets are priced at £9 for adults and £5 for children and are available on the Flashback Presents website. If you buy them on the day, they’ll be £15 for adults and £8 for children.
