The Chainsmokers – The GRAMMY Award Winning Dynamic Electronic DJ Duo
The American electronic DJ team The Chainsmokers have been working together since 2012. Producers Drew Taggart and Alexander “Alex” Pall make up the collective known as the Chainsmokers. Unlike Pall, who was raised in Westchester County, New York, Taggart was born and raised in Freeport, Maine. They revolutionized the music industry in 2014 when they switched from remixing the songs of independent artists to releasing their own song, “Selfie”, which went to number 20 in several different nations. The dynamic duo have worked hard to establish themselves as some of the best EDM DJs in the business.
Alternative band Twenty-One Pilots, as well as music legends Pharrell Williams and DJ Deadmau5, were all major inspirations on The Chainsmokers. With the single “Closer”, which features singer-songwriter Halsey, the duo has garnered numerous accolades and reached the top of the Billboard chart. They won a GRAMMY Award for their hit song “Don’t Let Me Down”, which featured American vocalist Daya and went to No. 5 on the charts. The duo’s fourth album, So Far So Good, which features well-known songs such as “Riptide” and “High”, was released in early 2022.
