In a week where the country was hit by thundery weather and heavy rain – things are finally set to get warmer. And depending on how warm you like it before firing up the BBQ families across Staffordshire may be dusting off the grills this weekend.
And much of East Staffordshire is to enjoy highs of around 18C and plenty of sunshine as the grim conditions of this week look set to finally be forgotten about. There had been hopes of something of a May heatwave earlier this month but the weekend forecast, while not so much tropical, is much-needed.
Here’s what various parts of Staffordshire can expect this weekend
Uttoxeter is set to be dry on Saturday with temperatures starting out at around 10C at 8am. But it will get up to 17C by 4pm where there will be sunshine and clouds. It will sunny from 6pm as the town enjoys a pleasant evening. It will be warmer on Sunday, without as much sunshine, with a high of 18C by 4pm.
Moving down into Burton and the town will see similar conditions with temperatures reaching a high of 17C by around 4pm on Saturday. The sunshine will really come out at 6pm with temperatures staying consistent. Like Uttoxeter it will get to 18C on Sunday – with less sunshine.
It’s a similar story in the south of the county with Lichfield seeing that 17C high on Sunday and 18C on Sunday while the same predicted for Tamworth.
