WARNING: Distressing images
Vets who found “very suspicious” contents inside a dog’s stomach are urgently warning other pet owners in Sydney’s south to be alert.
The dog was taken to Earlwood Animal Hospital after it ate something strange at Bardwell Valley Golf Club, the vet clinci warned in a social media post.

“We don’t know what it is, it does look very suspicious,” the post read.
Images show a sac filled with a bright green substance.
“There is also a post on another Facebook page of a similar case from Sydney park,” the post continued.
“The dog is being treated for suspected poisoning, just to cover all bases.
“Please be careful while out with your dogs, keep them on a lead, and don’t let them eat anything.”
Other pet owners were horrified at the discovery and shared their distress.
“The poor dog!” one person said in the comments.
“There were posts about these things filled with rat or snail poison on another dog group I’m in,” a second added.
The warning comes after a handful of reports of dog baiting in Sydney.
In Randwick last month, locals found “three baits disguised in chicken” around Paine Reserve, according to reports on social media.
“Please be careful, my daughter has found three baits disguised in chicken this afternoon near the Scout Hall,” local Linda Begg said.
“Please tell your friends and family.”
