Sydney Sweeney was recently spotted leaving The Today Show in New York City, and she looked like she has “never, ever been happier.” ✨
The Euphoria actress made an appearance on the morning talk show to discuss Reality, her upcoming Max movie about government contractor Reality Winner. Syd wore the cutest outfit that looks like it came straight from the Gossip Girl (or Clueless, or Heathers, or whatever preppy movie you love the most!) set, and we’re legit obsessed.
Sydney looked easy, breezy, and beautiful in a mint green blazer set from Thom Browne layered over a white collared shirt and crisp white tie. She also wore the designer’s signature kilt-style pleated skirt for that ~schoolgirl chic~ vibe, and finished off the springy look with a hotly-debated shoe pairing: white crew socks and black slingback heels. NGL, we’re super into the styling hack — it’s an easy way to break in shoes that dig into your feet while adding to the preppy aesthetic of your ‘fit.
Sydney got ready for her TV appearance with a bouncy, ’90s-style blowout that left her blonde hair in soft, loose waves. The actress wore a peachy pink blush with matching eyeshadow, and light matte lipstick to compliment her pastel outfit. She lined her eyes in black to make them pop against the rest of her soft glam look.
Sydney explained to Today Show host Hoda Kotb that the reason she wanted the role of Reality Winner was because of the integrity of the script. “I’d never read something that was taken directly from the [original] transcript. Not a single word is changed,” the actress shared. “Everything I say and everything the FBI agents say [in the movie] is the actual interrogation that happened to Reality Winner.”
Sydney also briefly talked about another project she has in the works, her rom-com with Glen Powell, Anyone But You. She didn’t drop any new deets about Euphoria, but we’re hoping that filming will be underway for the show’s third season sometime soon.
