Roosters star Joseph Suaalii could be set for sideline stint with the NRL match review committee likely to review footage of one incident during his side’s win over the Bulldogs.
The 19-year-old can be seen raising his knee and connecting with the chin of Reed Mahoney with seven minutes remaining in the first half of the Sunday clash.
The Bulldogs skipper subsequently failed his HIA and at the time Suaalii wasn’t placed on report by on-field referee Ashley Klein.

However, as first reported by The Daily Telegraph’s Phil Rothfield, the moment will be analysed and it isn’t the first time the young outside back has been cautioned regarding his running technique.
In September last year Suaalii received a “concerning act” notice by the match review committee after raising his knee in a tackle with Fa’amanu Brown.
He was also charged during the World Cup when his knee made contact with Tonga enforcer Felise Kaufusi.
Suaalii has signed a three-year deal worth north of $5 million to make a switch to rugby union and is set to leave the NRL after the 2024 season.
News Corp is also reporting speculation has emerged surrounding an early release for the outside back to join the 15-man code this year.
