After two months of renovations, Parkhurst Quality Meats has unveiled their new expanded store with plenty of space for your favourite cuts and more.
Operating in the Parkhurst Town Centre for almost seven years, owner Reggie Brook said they would have a few specials and giveaways to commemorate the renovation.
“It took two months to complete the extension, but we started organising it about 12 months ago,” Reggie said.
“We had outgrown our store and needed to choose between expanding or opening a second shop, but I preferred to stay in the same place.
“The centre owners, AHC, Rob McLeod and centre manager Michelle Taylor, have been great to me over the years, and together we were able to come up with a deal.
“Now we are happy to be in our newly renovated store.”
Reggie regarded his staff of four butchers and two apprentices as honest, hard-working and highly trained.
“Not only that, they are the best-looking butchers in Rockhampton,” he said.
“But the best thing about them is they love what they do.
“They’re passionate about their work as much as I am. That’s all I can ask for as a business owner.
“I’ve got staff who have worked with me from nearly day one. I don’t have a high staff turnover.
“They’ve all stuck with me, and we’ve looked after each other.”
Customers will still expect to find Parkhurst Quality Meats stocking their award-winning sausages, dry-aged beef, premium wagyu, and new menu items.
“We take pride in offering Japanese Wagyu, which can sell for prices ranging from $300 to $500 per kilo,” Reggie said.
“While this may not fit everyone’s budget, it is popular among our customers.
“The expansion will allow us to include more of my gourmet value-added range, with pizzas, nachos, pies and pastries.
“I’ll also have more range of steaks, dry-aged beef and a lot more sausages.”
Reggie said that being able to expand his store was due to the support of his customers.
“I’ve got the best customers in Australia who are very loyal and supportive,” he said.
“It is not just the Parkhurst community but Rockhampton in general. I even have customers travelling from Yeppoon, Gracemere, Gladstone and Mackay.
“I just want to thank everyone for all their support.
“We’re also always welcoming new customers, so come out and check us out.”
Looking at the remainder of the year, Reggie said Parkhurst Quality Meats would throw their hat into the ring for the Sausage King competition, winning the crown in 2021.
“Also to improve the shop as we do every day and work on our products to keep the consistency and quality,” he said.
“I also want to highlight that we have an online store that offers click-and-collect and home delivery.”
Parkhurst Quality Meats is located in the Parkhurst Town Centre and is open seven days a week.
