Sky Racing presenter Chynna Marston has categorically denied allegations of neglect of horses under her care at a Southern NSW property.
Marston and her partner Alexander Kean were placed on a Racing NSW Excluded List last Monday under local racing rule LR114(5)(b)(ii).
The rule reads: “That horse is not to be transferred, sold or gifted upon retirement or thereafter, to a person who is placed on the Racing NSW Excluded List for rehoming of thoroughbreds.”
The investigation stems from Marston being reported to the RSPCA and Racing NSW for alleged mistreatment of horses by the daughter of a NSW country trainer.
“I dedicate my life to the welfare of horses and any suggestion of neglect is categorically untrue and deeply hurtful,” Marston told Racenet.

“I entirely deny any allegation of neglect, whether of Scarlett or any other horse.
“Scarlett was a stockhorse x pony under my care.
“Scarlett was about 27 years old and in the six years of being with me, she was at all times provided adequate nutrition.
“This was found to be the case by an assessing veterinary clinic and that veterinary clinic also determined that Scarlett’s physical condition was due to her diagnosed heart condition – being an intense cardiac murmur and unusual PMI (point of maximal impulse).
“I am co-operating fully with the NSW Racing inquiry, and I look forward to all allegations being proved untrue and returning to caring for the horses that I love so dearly.”
Racing NSW refused to comment on the matter while Racenet believes Marston won’t be part of the Sky Thoroughbred Central broadcast team at Sunday’s Sapphire Coast and Tuesday’s Wagga meetings.
