What better way to embrace Winter, than to gather around a communal fire pit, crack open a red and celebrate Adelaide Hills’ longest running wine festival, Winter Reds, at Woodside’s picturesque Simon Tolley Cellar Door.
With Juliet Oliver, lead singer of the MAC band, a tribute to Fleetwood Mac, delivering some Stevie Nicks favourites, as well as super talented young singer/songwriter, Frank Ferguson, the Fire and Feast Festival on Sunday, July 30 is shaping up to be an amazing celebration.
A family-friendly event, there’ll be deliciously decorated hot-choccies for the kids and succulent spit-roasted lamb served all afternoon.
The Cellar-Door’s popular Local Produce Platters and Gourmet Jaffles will also be available and rain, hail or shine, the party will go on – with a spacious marquee set up on the property.
The special event will debut the special Tolley Mulled Wine, made from Tolley’s Estate Range Syrah and as a treat for Winter Red lovers, a 10 per cent discount will be applied to bottles of the Estate Range.
All of the grapes used in the Simon Tolley wines are grown on his two neighbouring 40 hectare Estate vineyards, which you can gaze upon from the cellar door.
Not only is Simon Tolley Wines Cellar Door a gorgeous space for a Winter party and wine-tasting, they also have accommodation on offer on the same site at their award-winning luxury accommodation, Simon Tolley Lodge.
Providing a one-of-a-kind vineyard accommodation experience, Simon Tolley Lodge is the ideal choice for a Winter escape, and is only 40 minutes from the Adelaide CBD.
The Winter Reds wine festival began in the Adelaide Hills in 2009, with the much-loved annual celebration prompting Hills’ wineries to light their open fires, crack open their best red wines and embrace the winter season during the last weekend of July.
