Authorities in Atlantic City say a shooting investigation led to the arrest of three people, including the person who was wounded.
According to the Atlantic City Police Department, during the early morning hours of April 30th, 43-year-old Jeffery Luckett of Mays Landing drove himself to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center-City Division after being shot in the first block of South Bellevue Avenue.
During an investigation by officers, a handgun was allegedly found in his vehicle that was parked at the hospital.
Further work by detectives identified 32-year-old Jayce Thomas of Pleasantville as a person of interest in the shooting.
On the afternoon of May 10th, two ACPD detectives located Thomas in the same block as the shooting.
As the detectives approached Thomas, he removed an object from his waistband and handed it to Terika Timberlake. Timberlake began to walk away, but was ultimately stopped. She was found in possession of a handgun. The handgun had been reported stolen from Louisiana in 2016.
Following lab testing by the New Jersey State Police, Thomas was charged for the shooting incident.

CHARGES: Unlawlful possession of a weapon, possession of hollow-point ammunition, possession of a large capacity magazine, certain person not to possess a weapon, and receiving stolen property.
All three people were remanded to the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
The public is reminded that charges are accusations and all persons are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
