About the opportunity
The Senior Student Marketing Specialist is responsible for the development and implementation of marketing campaigns and collateral to support student recruitment goals. This role manages marketing strategies, campaigns, collateral and tactics to support student recruitment goals, and works in close collaboration with Marketing and Communications staff and key University stakeholders, to ensure that marketing communications initiatives are integrated, effective, results driven and brand aligned.
This is a unique opportunity to work across both Student Marketing (4 months) and the University of Sydney Business School Marketing and Communications teams (5 months).
Your key responsibilities will be to:
- manage and implement integrated marketing communications strategies and budget to support student recruitment goals
- work with the Head, Student Marketing and Head, Business Marketing to conceptualise and develop marketing campaigns to support strategic objectives
- develop project briefs and work collaboratively with Marketing and Communications colleagues to ensure that collateral is innovative, targeted, of a high quality, is brand aligned and supports strategic objectives
- work collaboratively with faculty and student recruitment staff to ensure that marketing communications initiatives are understood, meet requirements and return on investment is demonstrated
- develop effective and collaborative relationships with staff across Marketing and Communications and stakeholders and across the University, to maintain an audience-focused approach to marketing and communications
- Manage a team of marketing professionals including the day to day operation of the team.
About you
- bachelor’s Degree in either; Communications, Marketing, Public relations or in a relevant field
- experience in all aspects of the advertising, below the line, and online communications process
- experience in an advertising or marketing communications role, ideally in a service-related industry
- experience mentoring a team to achieve high standards of client service delivery and teamwork
- well-developed project management skills with the capacity to manage competing priorities, multiple stakeholders, budgets, maintain attention to detail and to meet deadlines
- demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with key internal stakeholders within a complex organisation.
