Early Tuesday morning, an Officer was dispatched to the 2000 block of East 7th Street in reference to a property damage report. Brian Pummill stated sometime between 2:00 and 6:00 a.m., someone threw a brick through their back window.
Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle they observed running a stop sign at South Ohio Avenue and West 16th Street Tuesday night. During the investigation, it was determined the driver was intoxicated. Robert Lee Kreisel, 53, of Sedalia, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated (Drugs). Kreisel was transported to the BRHC for a blood draw, and then to the Pettis County Jail.
Officers responded to the Heckart Community Center, 1800 West 3rd Street in reference to a theft report Monday night. Officers spoke with Miguel A. Velasquez, who stated his phone was stolen from the pool area. No suspects have been identified at this time.
Tuesday morning, Officers responded to the lobby of the Police Department in reference to a report of assault. Officers spoke with the reporting party, who stated he was assaulted, and his vehicle was damaged by a male subject. The male subject followed the reporting party to the Police Department, before fleeing the scene. The suspect was located and arrested. Roy Neighbors, 53, of Sedalia, was transported to the Pettis County Jail to be booked in on charges of Property Damage in the 2nd Degree, and Assault in the 4th Degree. Neighbors was placed on a 24-hour hold.
Saturday night, Officers located a checkbook on the Missouri State Fairgrounds. Officers took the checkbook and placed it into evidence. The owner has not been located at this time.
Last Thursday evening, Officers were dispatched to a traffic complaint near West Broadway Boulevard and South Vermont Avenue. The caller and the suspect vehicle were located in the Liberty Park. During the investigation, it was determined the suspect driver was impaired. Ciara Lou Ann Harvey, 26, of Green Ridge, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated (Prior Offender). Harvey was transported to the Sedalia Police Department, and then the BRHC for a blood draw. Harvey was released to the custody of the emergency room due to her level of impairment.
Monday morning, Officers were dispatched to the 400 block of West Morgan Street in reference to a theft report. Margarett Hopkins stated approximately a month prior, she had lost her phone on an OATS bus. Hopkins believes the phone is now being used. There was nothing further in the report.
Sedalia Police were dispatched to the 400 block of North Veteran’s Memorial Drive Monday afternoon in reference to a burglary report. Jesus Sotelo Alvarado stated that sometime the previous afternoon, someone broke into their residence and stole items. The total value of the missing items was valued at approximately $1360.00.
A subject came into the lobby of the Police Department Monday morning to speak with Officers. A computer check of the subject’s information showed they had an active warrant for their arrest. Joseph Elmer Fore, 40, of Sedalia, was arrested for his warrant on charges of Domestic Assault in the 3rd Degree. Fore transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he was given a bond of $2500 cash or surety.
In the early morning hours Saturday, Sedalia Police investigated a burglary at the Yeager’s Cycle, 3001 South Limit Avenue. At the time of the burglary, it was unknown if anything had been stolen. The next day, the Missouri State Highway Patrol attempted to stop a vehicle within the Sedalia city limits, which failed to stop and a vehicle pursuit started. At the conclusion of the vehicle pursuit, an UTV was in the vehicle and determined to be stolen from Yeager’s Cycle.
