The CWA Yeppoon Seasiders are getting excited about their upcoming event, Christmas in July and they are putting the invitation out for others to come along and enjoy the festivities.
CWA Yeppoon Seasiders member Kerryn McClintock said the annual birthday/anniversary celebration is held to raise awareness of the organisation and its activities, to encourage new members to join and to promote friendship and community across the Capricorn Coast.
“We have extended the invitation to members and non-members alike to join us for some good-hearted fun and camaraderie,” Kerryn said.
“There is a uniqueness of women meeting with other women which meets a need of friendship, shared experience, ability to meet the needs of less fortunate women and children through understanding and empathy and to raise awareness of women’s health and other issues.
“We currently have 24 members and are always open to welcoming new people into the fold.
“QCWA Yeppoon Seasiders are passionate about fun, friendship and community.
“Some of our activities to help meet these goals are coffee mornings, craft nights, care pack packing (packed 100+ care packs distributed to organisations across Central Queensland), Country Kitchens Program providing healthy choices in children and adults, volunteering with other organisations for their events and activities.”
The Christmas in July event will be held on 22 July from noon to 2.30pm at Capricorn Cruising Yacht Club, Anchor Drive, Rosslyn Bay.
Cost is $45 per person and includes a lovely two-course catered meal.
There will be lucky door prizes, raffles, Christmas carols and trivia.
Bookings can be made online or phone Jan on 4939 7779 or Deanna on 0417 773 741.
