Samantha Armytage enjoyed a gorgeous sunny Sunday with her husband Richard Lavender in the countryside this weekend.
The couple shared an olive picking date, gathering baskets of the ripened fruit before sharing a picnic in the NSW town of Joadja.
In a series of Instagram Stories, the television host documented the afternoon and the lush trees heaving with olives.
The couple then had a picnic plate of cheese and crackers, with Sam thanking Richard’s family for preparing it.
After collecting basketfuls of green and black olives, Sam explained they would make a bottle of olive oil to reward them for their hard work.
Sam’s dog Banjo along with another pup followed the pair around as they did their hobby farming.
It comes after the millionaire equestrian businessman revealed that his TV presenter wife was looking for a change when they met and began their romance.
‘There’s been a lot said about that stuff but, honestly, I think she was just looking for something a bit different when she met me’, Richard told Stellar.
‘She’s always been a happy person while I have been around her,’ he continued.
‘We have been enjoying what’s in front of us. It’s been really good. She’s a country girl, so it hasn’t been such a huge adjustment’.
Samantha chimed in that she was ‘lucky’ to meet Richard as the pair took part in the joint interview.
‘I think we make a good match. I was very lucky to find him at that point in my life,’ she said.
The journalist met her husband Richard, 60, at socialite Skye Leckie’s 60th birthday party in April 2019, and she said there was an instant connection.
They later got married on New Year’s Eve in 2020 on Richard’s 40-hectare property in Bowral.
