With just one team facing the bye, Round 11 of the Hostplus Cup is set for several huge clashes this weekend.
Fresh off their 54-14 flogging of the Jets in Round 10, the Tweed Seagulls will host the Wynnum Manly Seagulls at Pigaabeen Sports Complex for the first game of the round on Saturday afternoon.
The clash will see the sixth-placed Tweed Seagulls attempt to maintain their two-point lead over their eighth-ranked Wynnum Manly rivals as the competition moves into the middle of the season.
The ladder-leading Bears will then head to Ipswich to take on the Jets while a huge encounter is expected between the tenth-placed Hunters and ninth-ranked Pride.
Three games will finish off a huge Saturday of footy with the Capras hosting the Devils, the Falcons taking on the Dolphins and the Cutters facing the Tigers.
The Falcons-Dolphins clash will be the most highly anticipated of Saturday’s evening matches, as the Falcons attempt to boost their third-placed ranking and the Dolphins hope to close the gap on the top six.
Just four points separate the seventh-ranked Dolphins from the top-of-the-table Bears, demonstrating how close the competition is this season.
To complete Round 11, the Clydesdales will host the Magpies in Toowoomba while the Blackhawks face the bye.
