Rockhampton Show Committee Member Councillor Ellen Smith said the horse show jumping and competitions will again be a major drawcard in Centre Ring with late entries for horses being accepted on the day.
“Along with our entertainment line-up make sure you don’t miss viewing the outstanding competition entries in the pavilions and our 150th Anniversary Memory Lane display,” Councillor Smith said.
Stanwell Power Station, General Manager, Central Generation Angie Zahr, is proud to join forces with Rockhampton Regional Council to celebrate the monumental 150th Show Anniversary as sponsor of the Memory Lane display and Volunteer Program.
“I have many fond memories of attending the Rockhampton Agricultural Show with my family over the years and I’m looking forward to attending this year representing Stanwell as event sponsor. We can’t wait to explore the Memory Lane and Heritage Village displays celebrating the Show and our region’s history.”
Acting Executive Manager Advance Rockhampton Mr Zac Garven said this year’s Rockhampton Agricultural Show promises to be bigger, better, and more exhilarating than ever before while still showcasing our history and traditional show attractions.
“For our young visitors – and those who are young at heart – we have a whole pavilion dedicated to your favourite farm animals thanks to Mr Real Estate. This will again be one of the biggest drawcards with daily duck races,” Mr Garven said.
“Thrills await in Centre Ring as Farmer Dave and the Muttley Crew with their canine superstars take to the stage, all thanks to the incredible support of Harcourts Low & Co.
“There’s so much happening at the Show this year – from koala encounters, kids cooking classes, circus workshops and a great Centre Ring line-up – and all of this is on top of everyone’s favourite rides, sideshows, showbags, and competitions.
“With $10 adult entry, $5 for kids and concession holders plus a $25 family pass this year’s Rocky Show promises to be an incredible, action-packed extravaganza for the whole family!”
