The additional date will see Rex Orange County take the stage at the iconic MCA in Melbourne on Thursday, September 28. This follows his previously announced show at Hordern Pavilion in Sydney on Sunday, September 24. These shows are part of Rex’s highly anticipated Live in New Zealand, Australia, and Asia Tour 2023, marking his inaugural headline performances across Asia.
Rex Orange County’s popularity has soared since the release of his latest album, WHO CARES?, which reached number one on the charts in the UK, number two in Australia, and number five in the US. The album features a collection of soulful tracks, including the infectious AMAZING, the introspective THE SHADE and the uplifting KEEP IT UP. Notably, the album also includes the collaboration OPEN A WINDOW with Tyler, The Creator, marking a reunion between the two artists since their collaboration on Tyler’s 2017 album, Flower Boy.
Tickets for the additional Melbourne show are expected to sell out quickly, so make sure to secure yours as soon as they become available.
The dates follow Rex’s 2022 multi-city run in North America that saw Rex performing sold-out shows at iconic venues including The Hollywood Bowl, Forest Hills Stadium, Red Rocks Amphitheatre, and a sold-out hometown performance at Gunnersbury Park in London to 20,000 people.
