A popular Disneyland Resort attraction recently experienced a strange malfunction that many Guests said was “scary.”
Disneyland Resort is known as “The Happiest Place on Earth.” Disneyland California is a journey into your imagination, where dreams come true, and the magic of Disney brings joy and wonder to millions of visitors each year. Whether it’s your first visit or a return trip, the Park’s timeless charm and enchanting atmosphere continue to create unforgettable experiences that will be treasured for a lifetime.
Disneyland has two theme parks: Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park. Guests heading to Disneyland Park can stroll down Main Street, U.S.A. to find Sleeping Beauty Castle. You can experience iconic Disney attractions such as “it’s a small world,” Jungle Cruise, Pirates of the Caribbean, Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway, Haunted Mansion, Alice in Wonderland, Dumbo the Flying Elephant, Space Mountain, and much more.
Next door, at Disney California Adventure Park, Guests can immerse themself in different lands and experience thrilling attractions such as Guardians of the Galaxy Mission BREAKOUT, Jessie’s Critter Carousel, Radiator Springs Racers, Incredicoaster, Goofy’s Sky School, Inside Out Emotional Whirlwind, and many more attractions.
Soarin’ Around the World gives Guests the chance to experience some of the most breathtaking sights around the world. The majestic Swiss Alps, to icy Greenland, the Sydney Harbour, Mount Kilimanjaro, the Great Wall of China, the pyramids of Egypt, the Taj Mahal in Indiana, Monument Valley, Fiji’s Las Island, Iguana Falls in South America, and the Eiffel Tower in Paris are just some of the sights that you’ll beholden while on the attraction.
However, some Disneyland Guests who were recently boarding the attraction experienced a malfunction that they dubbed a “really scary feeling” at first.
“The screen froze & all rows dropped down a level, it was actually really scary feeling at first! Coming down was not smooth sailing either. Got to see behind the screen when the door opened for CM’s to get us down.”
While we’ve seen breakdowns before where the screen goes blank, and the Cast Member opens the door on the screen, not many Disney Guests have reported that they “dropped down a level.” While this may have seemed scary, it should be noted that all Disney attractions are heavily inspected and have certain safety measures in place to ensure that, even during a breakdown, Guests are safe.
At no point is any Guest in danger when a ride breaks down as long as they follow the directions of Disney Cast Members, who have been expertly-trained to handle these situations. If an evacuation must occur, Disney Cast Members will safely get the Guests off the attraction and to the nearest exit. While this may seem alarming at first, there is no real danger and it’s important to remain calm and follow what the Disney Cast Members say.
