Derby County are being tipped for a season of glory by the bookies after they were made favourites for promotion from League One.
Paul Warne’s side are 15/8 to go up, putting them ahead of Bolton and Peterborough, who missed out via the play-offs this season.
Ian Evatt’s Trotters side are 9/4 while Posh, under Darren Ferguson, are 11/4 with Sky Bet. Portsmouth, who threatened a push for the top six during the campaign, are fourth favourites and are priced at 10/3.

Reading, who were relegated from the Championship, are also 10/3 while the other sides who dropped down from the second tier, Wigan and Blackpool, are 5/1 and 11/2 respectively.
Oxford, now managed by Liam Manning, are expected to have a much better season this time around and are 13/2 to go up as are Wycombe Wanderers who have Matt Bloomfield in charge after Gareth Ainsworth’s departure to QPR.
Hopes are high that Derby will be involved in the race for automatic promotion next season after missing out on the playoffs in gut-wrenching fashion on the final day.
The Rams just needed to equal Peterborough’s result to finish in the top six but they lost 1-0 at Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough while Posh beat Barnsley to snatch the last playoff spot.
However, Posh were consigned to another season in League One after losing on penalties in an astonishing playoff semi-final which saw them surrender a 4-0 lead in the first leg against Wednesday.
Darren Moore’s side roared back to take it to extra time and after both sides scored again in extra time, the Owls won the penalty shootout.
Fans will discover who out of Barnsley and Wednesday will be in League One next season when they contest the playoff final which will be played at Wembley this weekend.
Rank outsiders for promotion are Cheltenham who are 20/1, Cambridge are 16/1, while Fleetwood and Burton, are both 14/1.
Odds: Derby 15/8, Bolton, 9/4, Peterborough 11/4, Portsmouth 10/3, Reading 10/3, Charlton 5/1, Wigan 5/1, Blackpool 11/2, Oxford 13/2, Wycombe 13/2, Bristol Rovers 9/1, Exeter 9/1, Leyton Orient 10/1, Lincoln 10/1, Northampton 10/1, Port Vale 10/1, Shrewsbury 10/1, Stevenage 10/1, Burton 14/1, Fleetwood 14/1, Cambridge 16/1, Cheltenham 20/1
