A popular restaurant in Birmingham has been put on the market for a six-figure sum. Mediterranean eatery, Olive Garden, in Hill Village Road in Mere Green, Sutton Coldfield, has been put up for sale with its owners wanting to concentrate on their ‘other business commitments’.
The outlet, which specialises in Turkish cuisine, is being offered on a leasehold basis for ‘offers in the region of £100,000. The venue began in 2019 and is described as a ‘well-established and busy restaurant’ and a ‘high turnover business in a great location’.
Set in the centre of Mere Green, in Four Oaks’ main shopping and leisure area, agents Shafees Property Group say: “This is a very busy restaurant which has great potential to increase the trade by a new owner and management team. The restaurant has built up an excellent reputation and repeat client base within the local community.”

Olive Garden is rated the 18th best eatery of 147 restaurants in Sutton Coldfield with a 4.5 out of 5 rating on Tripadvisor. A recent reviewer said: “The restaurant is lovely, staff are attentive and knowledgeable about all dishes which was great as two of our party hadn’t tried Turkish food before. The food was well-presented and amazing. Already recommended this place to friends and family.”
Another said: “We went for an Easter Sunday lunch and just wish we lived nearer this fab place to visit more often. After living in Türkiye for many years this is the most authentic restaurant we have found in the Midlands.
“The staff are very welcoming and the service is perfect. The food is so delicious it is to die for, and is the same as if we were back in Türkiye. We all had a wonderful experience. We will definitely be going back.”
The restaurant has space for 80 diners, with ‘potential’ for more. It has outdoor seating and a beer garden, ‘which can easily be converted into a Shisha bar’. Its owners have recently had a ‘huge refurbishment’ at the site, with ‘new equipment, fixtures and fittings’.
As well as diners eating at the restaurant, the Olive Garden is said to be on the major online food delivery sites including Just Eat, Uber eats and Deliveroo and has its own website. The space includes three rooms inside for diners, as well as toilets and a ‘party room which is in need of modernisation’.
The venue opens seven-days-a-week from 11am to 9pm on Mondays, Tuesdays and Sundays, From 11am to 9.30pm on Wednesdays to Fridays and 11am to 8pm on Saturdays.
The agents add: “If the new owner wishes to invest on refurbishment it will add great value to the business itself.” It adds: “This is a great opportunity to purchase a well-established fully fitted restaurant where all the hard work has been carried out. Viewing is highly recommended.”
A new lease will be offered to a ‘suitable owner through negotiation’. Trading details will be given to those that view the business. The rent on the premises is £35,000 a year, reviewed every five years and business rates are £5,000.
