Plans have been lodged to extend a coastal retirement village with new units and communal spaces including a deck and barbecue.
The extension includes three new one-bedroom units within one single-storey building and works to the existing communal spaces including a new deck, BBQ space and accessible ramp and bridge structure.
It would built on vacant land at the village with minor vegetation removal for the works necessary.
The new building has been designed to complement the existing development, which is made up of six stand-alone buildings with 16 units.

The RSL facility provides long-term accommodation to veterans who need subsidised, independent housing.
Documents state the new units will be “highly liveable, versatile and adaptable by nature of the clientele they are designed to support”.
“The proposal will not result in any significant impact on the surrounding area, instead providing for a positive, attractive, functional development which will satisfy future resident needs,” the planning report reads.
It is now under assessment by council officers.
RSL was contacted for comment however had not responded by time of publication.
