The wet weather has caused havoc on Perth’s roads, with emergency services rushing to several accidents.
A man aged in his 20s is preparing to be taken to hospital via the RAC rescue helicopter after the car he was in collided with a tree in the city’s south-east.
Police were alerted to the crash on Dumberning on Katta and Cooraminning roads about 6.30am.
St John and DFES remain on site as they await for the patient — who is believed to not have life-threatening injuries — to be safely transferred.
In Bibra Lake, a multiple-vehicle collision has disrupted early morning commuters and sent one person to hospital.
A St John spokesperson said a driver — with non-serious injuires — involved in the collision on Kwinana Freeway and Roe Highway had been taken to Fiona Stanley Hospital after a car pile-up.

The collision between the road train and the small truck took place on Goldfields Highway at the intersection of Coolgardie Esperance Highway near Widgiemooltha about 5.15am on Tuesday.
A St John spokesman said a person remained trapped in one of the vehicles, with police and officers from the Department of Fire and Emergency Services on the scene.
The trapped person’s injuries are believed to be serious.
The response from emergency services is ongoing as motorists are urged to avoid the area.
Goldfields Highway near the intersection of Coolgardie Esperance Highway is closed in both directions.
As of 9am, Perth metro recorded 8.2mm of rain — causing dangerous road conditions for commuters.
In the Pilbara, Karratha was dumped with 70.4mm of rainfall in the last 24 hours.
The monthly average of 124mm for June had been exceeded, with just over 200mm of rain recorded as of Tuesday morning.
The highest monthly rainfall recorded for June in the metropolitan area was in 2005 when 251mm bucketed down.
Showers are set to plague the rest of the week before easing next week.
